An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.
Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
